Participants will explore the joy of creating E-books in and for their classrooms through multi-departmental collaboration. Specifically, presenters will share examples of E-books created by Ethical Culture’s 2014 first grade students, in collaboration with technology, art and library. Discussions of how multiple disciplines can work together to create an integrated experience for students and a hands-on creative “how to” demonstration will follow. Participants will experience how creating E-books can engage students in their learning process and deepen research, reading, and writing skills. We recommend you come to the session with the Book Creator app installed on your iPad and if possible iBooks Author on you Mac.
