'Sharing Lessons Learned To Inform Programs in Other Schools'

Thompson Elementary School (K - 5, 400+ students) is entering its 3rd year as a one-to-one school. Participants will learn how the lessons learned at Thompson informed the design of the one-to-one pilot initiative in a sixth grade cluster at the Ottoson Middle School in Arlington, which began in the December 2014, and will be entering its second year in the fall of 2014. Presenters will share use of MDM, workflow management strategies, student Tech-sperts in order to support use in the classroom, professional development strategies, how a K - 8 articulated STEM curriculum supported the expansion of the program, and data gathered from students, parents, and teachers.

Lillian O'Donnell is a learning specialist in the sixth grade at the Ottoson Middle School in Arlington, MA. This is her second year working with the 1-1 iPad pilot. With another team member, she created and led the iPad Council, a group of student leaders. The Council presented to various groups and solicited feedback from their classmates to improve the use of the iPads across the four main content areas.
