'The Shared iPad Cart: Challenges and Successes in Newton Public Schools'

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Participants will be introduced to the “Shared iPad Cart Model” implemented in all 21 schools of the Newton Public School System. Our elementary, middle schools and high schools share carts that vary from classroom sets to some smaller carts of 5, 8 or 20 in various departments and classrooms. The iPad was intended to be a 1:1 device and in order to make the sharing process work, we’ve developed some protocols and procedures we will present. Jason Agress is the district’s Network Media Specialist. He will be discussing implementation and management using Lightspeed Mobile Manager. Documentation and examples will be provided. Brenda will present examples of how the teachers and students are using the shared model in her school and she’ll provide accessibility options, suggestions for workflow and student work examples for implementing this model.
