'Why change? A Journey Toward the Development of a 1-1 iPad Environment'

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Why change? Our test scores are strong; our students attend strong four year colleges. Why do we need a 1-1 program? Won’t this disrupt the experience of our students? These are questions that we faced as we investigated the possibility of a 1-1 environment. This session is designed as a roadmap to help schools move from a no/low tech environment to a 1-1 or BYOD environment. We will use Kotter’s Theory of Change as a foundation to discuss our experiences. Participants will have the opportunity to learn from our successes and our not so successful moments - there have been many of both. We also will discuss how we have guided the implementation of the 1-1 program through an environment of increased expectations from the outside.
